How Aaranya’s V-Ling Ayurvedic Libido Booster helps with Premature Ejaculation?

What is Premature Ejaculation (PE)?

Premature ejaculation is a condition in men when semen leaves the body sooner than desired, often before or shortly after vaginal penetration.
•It is a common sexual dysfunction. It can be a frustrating experience for both the individual and their partner, potentially impacting their sexual satisfaction and relationship.
•Premature ejaculation is also commonly called as early ejaculation or rapid ejaculation. There is no minimum timing that is defined for the same, but a study by the International Society for Sexual Medicine defined it to be less than a minute after penetration. This condition in men can lead to distress, and some start avoiding sexual relationships with their partner.

What causes Premature Ejaculation?

Several reasons can be responsible for premature ejaculation, including masturbating quickly during adolescence to avoid being caught, performance anxiety, passive-aggressive behaviour, or having too little sex.
But there is no evidence supporting the same.
Stress, smoking, drug abuse, and alcohol have become the leading causes for this condition in today’s fast-paced world.

Symptoms

The main symptom of premature ejaculation is not being able to delay ejaculation for more than three minutes after penetration. But it might occur in all sexual situations, even during masturbation.
Premature ejaculation can be classified as:

  • Lifelong. Lifelong premature ejaculation occurs all or nearly all the time, beginning with the first sexual encounter.
  • Acquired. Acquired premature ejaculation develops after having previous sexual experiences without problems with ejaculation.

Etiology

Premature ejaculation is primarily psychological. However, the precise cause of premature ejaculation remains largely undetermined. Several contributing risk factors, both biological and psychological, have been listed here.
Biological factors:

  • Abnormal levels of the brain neurotransmitter serotonin (low serotonin levels shorten the time to ejaculation)
  • Abnormal hormonal levels, e.g., LH, prolactin, and TSH
  • Inflammation and/or infection of the prostate or urethra
  • Erectile dysfunction (ED)
  • Ejaculatory hyperreflexia
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Neuropathy (such as multiple sclerosis)
  • Alcoholism
  • Diabetes
  • Recreational drug use
  • Sleep deprivation (leads to low serotonin levels)

    Psychological factors:
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Guilt
  • Distorted thinking
  • Unrealistic expectations about sexual performance
  • Performance anxiety
  • Lack of confidence
  • Relationship problems
  • Unrealistic fear of harm from vaginal penetration
  • Hostility against women
  • Some Underlying mental health issues

How Stress Impacts PE?

Stress triggers the release of hormones like cortisol, which can disrupt the delicate balance of neurotransmitters involved in sexual response, including serotonin, which plays a role in delaying ejaculation.
Stress can stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, leading to heightened arousal and potentially shortening the time to ejaculate.
Stress from other areas of life, like a normal fight between the couple, can spill over into the bedroom, causing tension and impacting sexual intimacy.

When to see a doctor?

Talk to your doctor if you ejaculate sooner than you wish during most sexual encounters. It’s common to feel embarrassed about discussing sexual health concerns. But don’t let that keep you from talking to your doctor. Premature ejaculation is common and treatable.

Management and Treatment

There are many different treatment options for premature ejaculation depending on the cause. These include behavioral therapy, counseling and medications. Most causes of premature ejaculation are usually treated first with behavioral therapy and/or counseling to help with emotional concerns, performance anxiety. You can try more than one treatment approach at the same time, and in fact, combined therapy may be more effective than any one treatment alone.
